How TeeRoster uses cookies and similar technologies.

This Cookie Policy explains how TeeRoster LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use the TeeRoster platform (the "Service"). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control their use.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide reporting information to site owners. Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, TeeRoster) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies."
We also use similar technologies such as pixel tags, web beacons, and local storage to collect information about how you interact with the Service. For simplicity, we refer to all of these technologies as "cookies" in this policy.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function. They enable core features like authentication, session management, and security protections. Without these cookies, the Service cannot operate properly. Essential cookies do not require your consent.
Functional Cookies
Functional cookies remember a choice you made. There are two: your approximate location, written only if you grant location permission, so courses can be sorted nearest-first; and which in-app background you picked. You can use TeeRoster without either — courses simply appear unsorted by distance.
Analytics and advertising cookies
We do not use any. TeeRoster has no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no Google Analytics, no advertising identifier, and no cross-site tracking. We do not sell or share personal information for behavioural advertising, and we do not build profiles for advertisers or data brokers. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before the change ships, and in the EU and UK we would ask for your consent first.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Two providers set cookies in your browser on our behalf. Neither is used for advertising or analytics:
- Descope — our authentication provider. Sets
DSandDSRso you stay signed in. - Stripe — payment processing, and only on the hosted checkout page you are redirected to when paying a competition entry fee. Stripe sets no cookies on TeeRoster itself; we never handle your card details.
Each provider has its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read. Both are listed with their purpose and region in the subprocessor table in our Privacy Policy.
4. Managing Cookies
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically find these settings in the "Options" or "Preferences" menu of your browser. The following links provide information on how to manage cookies in popular browsers:
Please note that disabling or deleting cookies may affect your experience on the Service. Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are necessary for the Service to function.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
